We have learners who have never touched a steering wheel, and learners who had lessons before and want to finish what they started. Your instructor adapts the lessons to your level, not the other way around.
Are you younger than 18? With 2toDrive you can start earlier and practise with a guide, which gives you extra experience before the exam. Do you prefer an automatic car? That is possible too. Just mention it in your message when you sign up.

What to prepare before your first lesson

A good start makes everything easier. These simple tips help you get the most out of your first lessons.

Start your theory early

You need a theory certificate before you can take the practical exam. With our online course you can study whenever it suits you, on your phone or laptop. The sooner you begin, the less likely it is that your planning gets delayed.

Think about your schedule

How often do you want to drive? Some learners take one lesson a week, others take two or three to progress faster. Think about what fits your week, and discuss it with your instructor.

Come well rested

Driving needs concentration. Try to get enough sleep, eat something beforehand and do not plan too much on the same day. You will learn faster when you feel fresh.

What happens next?

As soon as we receive your sign-up, one of our team members gets in touch with you, usually by phone or email. We check your contact details, ask a few simple questions about your experience and your availability, and suggest a date for your trial lesson. There is nothing you need to prepare, apart from being on time and ready to have a good first drive.
During the trial lesson you meet your instructor, who explains the controls of the car, shows you how the lessons are built up and lets you drive in a calm environment. At the end, you talk through how it went. If you feel good about it, we plan your next lessons and talk about the package that suits you. If you would like some time to think, that is perfectly fine too.
From that moment on, everything is clear. You know who your instructor is, when your lessons take place and what you are paying. Along the way you can always ask for an update on your progress, and we adjust the plan if your situation changes. Many learners tell us that this clarity is what makes the biggest difference, because it gives you peace of mind and lets you concentrate on driving.
